Barry O’Neill recorded another double on Sunday to go five ahead of Jamie Codd in the riders’ championship.

O’Neill completed his brace on the classy Maple Mons in the Minella Hotel Clonmel mares’ open.

The eight-year-old, who was the joint-champion mare last term, has hit peak form in recent weeks and was again imperious in victory here for her third victory in a row.
