This is my sixth year as the point-to-point secretary for the Westmeath Foxhounds point-to-point in Castletown-Geoghegan – and thankfully it all went very well for us on Sunday.

I think it was the first year there was no stress before the first race, so long may that continue because there is a lot of dedication and hard work from every member to pull it off.

I was born into a point-to-point family. Both my parents have been involved with the point-to-point here for over 45 years. My father Frankie was the clerk of the course until he sadly passed away in 2017.
