Holymacapony has a 'big future' after storming home in maiden

The exciting Holymacapony provided the sire Libertarian with his first four-year-old point winner when guided to victory by Simon Cavanagh in the opening maiden.

Carrying the colours of owner-breeder George Williams, Holymacapony made the running and overcame a couple of notable errors to get the better of Grady Hollow by seven lengths.

“This is a lovely horse and he is a real athlete," said winning trainer Cormac Farrell. "He stays all day and he has a big future because he is still a big raw baby. I'm delighted for George Williams and the lads who own him; they have some lovely horses with me.”
