Susie Doyle moved a step closer in her quest for a first ladies’ title as she rode the first double of her career when Golden Bald won the Conack Construction older maiden.

The six-year-old had offered a great deal of promise when finishing third at Comea in mid-February, and he stepped up from that by opening his account at just the third time of asking to defeat the much more experienced How’s Trix.
