Front-runners dominated the big jumps races this weekend - so why do we keep disrespecting them?

After a West Country weekend when making all was the thing to do, it's time to give front-runners the respect they deserve.

Anthony Honeyball jokingly apologised to members of the racecourse committee for the Badger Beers being a boring race with Gustavian ahead and barely threatened after leading over the first of 21 fences.

At Exeter on Friday it was a similar story with Harry Skelton winning twice from pole position on Doyen Quest in the novice chase before Thistle Ask landed the prestigious Haldon Gold Cup.
