Eddies Miracle leads home biggest field of finishers for eight years

Last month, the four-year-old mares’ maiden at Boulta was noteworthy for the 13 horses who completed that contest, a rarity these days in points to have as many finishers.

On Sunday, that feat was surpassed when Noah Webster was the last of 15 finishers in the novice riders' open lightweight at Borris House.

Boosted by being the only open of the weekend, the race was close to reaching the capacity field, with 17 horses jumping off at the start of the race, and for the first time since an open at Milltown eight years ago, there were 15 finishers.
