There was an emotional winner for handler David Christie, who witnessed Eddies Miracle run out a four-length winner of the Royal Court Hotel open lightweight under Barry O'Neill.

“I'm quite emotional, that horse means everything to me," said Christie. "I nearly lost him in November with a fractured pelvis. I have never been so nervous coming back.

“I took him to Ger Kelly in Fethard and he had never seen a fracture like it. I never thought I would see him come back like this. He has so much class and is unbelievable. He would have hated that ground. We're just going to enjoy it."
