Barry O'Neill extended his lead in the riders’ standings to eight over Derek O’Connor with a treble initiated by Easyrun De Vassy in the first division of the Goffs maiden race for four-year-olds.

Easyrun De Vassy made his debut at Oldtown in February before being beaten narrowly at Dawstown.

On this third run he was three lengths down on Young Lieutenant going to the last but rallied well on the run-in to lead near the line to win by a head.
