The Dublin Racing Festival provided incredibly exciting action and numerous high-class performances. It certainly lived up to its billing as a showcase for Irish racing.

From the point-to-point angle it was a great advertisement for the sport. Four of the eight Grade 1 winners, including the amazing Faugheen and the unbeaten Irish Champion Hurdle winner Honeysuckle, started off in points. So did the two Grade 2 bumper winners.

A couple of the novice races and the bumpers were encouraging with the long-term future in mind.
