The Doyle family and their Monbeg Syndicate continued their excellent run of form in recent weeks as two horses carrying their colours fought out the finish in division one of the five-year-old mares maiden.

The battling one-length success of Dawn Light Cave provided brothers Sean and Gearoid with their third winner in the calendar.

The Court Cave mare, who had been pulled-up on her two starts last May, produced a better jump at the final fence to defeat the favourite Shroughmore Lass, a horse trained by their brother Donnchadh.
