Bowe maintains lead as the title builds to a thrilling climax

Last week I mentioned how Colin Bowe was putting in a strong finish to his bid to win the handlers' championship outright for the third consecutive year.

Over the last few weeks a great battle has developed between Bowe and fellow Wexford handler Donnchadh Doyle who shared the title with him in 2015.

We've had another eventful weekend and Bowe added three to his score to reach the 31 mark, while Doyle is now on 28 following a quick double at the North Kerry meeting at Tralee on Saturday. Bowe did the same in the first two at Inchydoney on Sunday after taking the four-year-old maiden at Portrush on Saturday.
