Billaway again set to lead Irish hunter chase challenge at Cheltenham

Irish fortunes in what is now known as the St James's Place Hunter Chase have not been great in recent years.

After a six-year spell of domination between Zemsky in 2011 and On The Fringe scoring for the second time in 2016, only It Came To Pass has triumphed since, a memorable winner for Eugene and Maxine O'Sullivan two years ago, coming home ten lengths clear of the Willie Mullins-trained Billaway.

Last March Billaway was well fancied to go one better. He went very close but had to settle for second behind Porlock Bay.
