Perfect Power the highlight as fans hare around to keep tabs on Easter action

We can be sure Lewis Carroll was a racing fan because Alice In Wonderland features an Easter bunny dashing around, worrying about being late for something, which is the typical experience for any punter or enthusiast who wants to keep up with all the action at this time of year.

There were nine cards in Britain and Ireland on Saturday, followed by another seven on Sunday as well as Group races at Longchamp, and more to come on Monday, so any of you who have a job, a family or a life might like to consider giving those up because there's a lot of action coming up in the next four months.

If Perfect Power shows up in the 2,000 Guineas, he will be a bigger price than he has been for any race since he won the Norfolk Stakes in June, so we probably didn't see an English Classic winner on Newbury's card on Saturday. But he's a seriously talented, very likeable horse with an excellent strike-rate, which we obviously didn't anticipate when he was allowed to start at 14-1 at Royal Ascot.
