The Dubai World Cup went the way of the US for the fifth time in the last ten years thanks to Country Grammer, who also became Bob Baffert's fourth winner of the race following Arrogate in 2017, Captain Steve in 2001 and Silver Charm in 1998.

The market was dominated by US-trained runners and so was the finish, filling four of the first five places, the exception being the third-placed Chuwa Wizard.

A large chunk of that market dominance was thanks to Life Is Good, who set a clear standard on form following dominant successes in the Breeders' Cup Dirt Mile and the Pegasus World Cup.
