Britain's leading independent charity behind reducing gambling-related harm, GambleAware, which is funded to the tune of more than £10 million a year by the industry and associated outlets, has launched its latest safer gambling campaign under the title of Bet Regret.

The campaign went public for the first time during Sky's TV coverage of Sunday’s match between Manchester United and Liverpool, which was expected to draw the channel’s highest audience of the season for a Premier League encounter.

Outlining the thrust of the campaign, a statement from GambleAware said: “Bet Regret describes the universal feeling of remorse bettors often get when they make an impulsive bet, the kind they know they will kick themselves for the moment they make it.”
