James Reveley has won the last three runnings of the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris but it is Le Costaud – which translates as the strongman – a winner over the big Italian fences at Merano, that holds a special place in his heart

I really like Le Costaud, who I've ridden all through his career from when he started out as a three-year-old.

He's just a lovely horse to deal with. I did a lot of the work on him early on and he's just a lovely ride. He's the sort of horse who, when he retires, he would make you a lovely hack, he's that type of character.
