Betting Shop Manager of the Year Rob Mabbett with Sam Twiston-Davies at Ascot

Rob Mabbett's Betfred shop in Brough, ten miles west of Hull, used to be a Spar when he was growing up in the village.

He had a job there as a teenager and recalls he was told "the first rule of management is that everything is your fault!"

Betfred later opened the betting shop in the thriving residential area and, 20 years on, Mabbett is back there running it.
