The son of Ireland's champion jump jockey and former trainer Frank Berry, Fran was born into the sport and could very easily have followed into the family business of National Hunt.

But it is on the Flat where Berry has excelled, in his native Ireland, in Japan and most recently in Britain, having relocated to take up the position of stable jockey to Ralph Beckett at the beginning of the 2016 season.
