What’s the best bet you’ve ever had?
In 1989 I was riding Great Commotion in most of his work. He had just finished second in the Irish 2,000 Guineas. In his next strong piece of work he was winging along the Flat gallop when a maiden filly called Magic Gleam came past us! She won her maiden in style (all the lads had some on) then seven days later she was second in the Group 1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
