With British and Irish racing in shutdown our experts give their horses to follow for when the action resumes. Justin O'Hanlon picks his five to follow on the Flat this summer.

Buckhurst

This Australia colt did not run at two, but made a successful debut in a soft ground Gowran maiden over a mile last April and was trained with half an eye on the Irish Derby after that. Defeats in the Derrinstown Derby Trial and the Gallinule Stakes showed he was not quite up to that level at that stage, but in the second half of the season he kept improving.
