Born To Be
Trainer: John Oxx
5th, 7f two-year-old maiden, Roscommon, July 4

John Oxx saddled his first juvenile winner of the season at Tipperary on Saturday, the impressive Sea Of Grace, a filly who holds entries in the Phoenix Stakes and the Moyglare Stud Stakes and was the first winner for sire Born To Sea. This colt has similar attributes, being by Born To Sea and holding Group 1 entries in the Phoenix Stakes and National Stakes, and he showed plenty of promise on his Roscommon debut.

He was a bit keen early and struggled to pick up on the testing ground early in the straight, but he eventually did to an extent after getting a bit of a bump over a furlong out and he kept on well. He'll probably appreciate a bit of an ease but not ground as heavy as he met at Roscommon, and he should improve a good deal.
