Very good clearance rates at bloodstock sales have been one indicator, and now the Gloucestershire farmer who heads the Tattersalls Leading Owner Award has provided anecdotal evidence.

Jason Warner, whose horses have won ten races in this stop-start season, said: “I like riding in interesting places around the world such as Venezuela and Ethiopia, be it on horses, mules or donkeys, and as I haven’t been able to do that for the past year we’ve bought a few pointers. It never occurred to me that we could win any title – we just have great fun doing it.”
