British racing needs a broadcasting channel that will embrace everything about racing a punter enjoys – the whole package, whether that's promoting the hype around racecourses for future fans, or asking jockeys tough questions and offering deeper analysis, such as sectional timing.

Channel 4's racing coverage throughout the day covers just about the basics. Live jockey cams were a fantastic addition, but there is a real lack of coverage on the betting markets, which is the main element of racing for most.

However, you can't take anything away from the current line-up of The Morning Line presenters – the flow of the show is faultless and it has a good balance of being a relaxing, enjoyable show as well as being informative. There's room for some more in-depth racing analysis, though, as I always find myself flicking between the Racing Post or ATR app looking for detailed form guides.
