Corinthian spirit in plentiful supply as stud foreman secures second race win

The second leg of the Irish Injured Jockeys' Corinthian Challenge took place at Navan on Sunday as part of a three-race series to raise funds for the charity.

The race was won by business graduate and Irish National Stud yard foreman Harry Shearman, who scored in great style aboard Nelson Road for trainer John Murphy.

Shearman, who has spent four years at the stud, said: “I’m thrilled with the win. It’s only really sinking in now, it was an incredible feeling getting there with plenty of horse and knowing we had a real shot at winning.
