Ireland's racing stars honoured at champions' dinner
Brightening your day with turf tales from beyond the tracks
Willie Mullins and his son Patrick, Aidan O'Brien, Eddie O'Leary and Colin Keane were among those who recieved big prizes at the champions dinner for the Irish Flat & National Hunt Awards at the Keadeen Hotel, Newbridge, County Kildare last Sunday.
After clinching a 12th National Hunt Trainers' championship at Punchestown, Willie Mullins recieved a fantastic reception upon collecting his trophy, as did Aidan O'Brien, who set a record for the number of Group 1 wins achieved in a calendar year in 2017.
Patrick Mullins picked up the award for champion amateur for a 10th time, Eddie O'Leary was representing the champion National Hunt owner Gigginstown House Stud while champion Flat jockey Colin Keane was also celebrated on the night.
