Fred Done speaks to Bill Barber about sponsoring the five Classics and his drive to keep working

This weekend is a proud occasion for Betfred founder Fred Done as his company begins sponsorship of all five British Classics.
It also represents a remarkable turnaround in the relationship between Done and the sport, which had been decidedly chilly not too long ago.
Betfred's backing of the 2,000 Guineas and 1,000 Guineas at Newmarket completes a full house of Classic sponsorship, something that has never been done before, and comes with a £2 million bonus for the connections of any horse who completes the Triple Crown.
