If there is one thing the Classics in Britain, Ireland, France and the US have told us this year it is how powerful the biggest owner-breeder operations remain.
Sheikh Mohammed’s Godolphin dominated Guineas weekend at Newmarket and won two legs of the US Triple Crown; Coolmore won all three Group 1s at Epsom, the Irish 1,000 Guineas and Poule d’Essai des Poulains, while Juddmonte and the Aga Khan Studs have also claimed Classics.
