Gina Andrews is about to claim a point-to-point record that covers both sides of the Irish Sea.

Warwickshire-based Andrews, 29, rode her 300th British point-to-point winner at a recent meeting at Alnwick, added another victory on the same card, and her total is now just two behind the mark set by Polly Gundry between 1994 and 2011.

Andrews has a fair chance of drawing level at Chaddesley Corbett on Tuesday, and it would be appropriate if she set a new mark at Horseheath next Friday, for her family's roots lie in the East Anglian region and many of their successes have been mined there.
