John Nixon has owned horses for 30 years with the likes of Jack Berry, Mark Johnston, Kevin Ryan and Jo Foster. He tells David Carr all about it.


I'm from Bacup in Lancashire and I'm not from any sort of racing family. In fact the first time I took any notice of racing I was on the top of Salford University.

It was around 1961 and I was in the building industry, as I've been all my life. I'm a joiner by trade.
