I was a jockey in India many years ago so this was a wonderful chance to go back and reminisce. Rachel and I joined Sean and Dwayne Woods in Goa for the first week and I took the opportunity to propose to her – she obviously said yes!
We then went on to Bombay to join Vijay Mallya, who was sponsoring the Indian Derby, at a grand party he was hosting. I used to ride for Vijay and have trained some of his horses over here since. The party was amazing and I caught up with many old colleagues and friends, including Dicky Singh, my old trainer from Bangalore.
