It was standing room only, and that was if you were lucky, as Robbie Power stood tall in his irons and saluted the crowd after Sizing John’s success in the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March.

The pinnacle of the jumps season had duly delivered with more than 70,000 packing the stands to see the highlight of another festival laced with quality.

Buoyed by record-breaking crowds earlier in the week, north of 260,000 people descended on the Cotswolds for Cheltenham’s four-day feast.
