The Tingle Creek has a rich history and has produced some brilliant winners who have excelled over Sandown's Railway fences in the back straight – a famous test, especially at championship pace.

This year it featured the highest-rated jumper in hot favourite Chacun Pour Soi and four opponents who were wrong at the weights but perhaps had the advantage of fitness.

The way everyone lined up suggested they had a huge amount of respect for Chacun Pour Soi, who was strongly backed and went off at 8-13, and he went straight to the front under Patrick Mullins.
