'He was a lovely horse to deal with, a real gentleman'
St Nicholas Abbey
He gave me one of the best days' racing when winning the Breeders' Cup Turf at Churchill Downs. It was a very special day and one I will never forget. We also won two Coronation Cups and the Dubai Sheema Classic. I rode him nearly every day at home. He was a lovely horse to do anything with, a real gentleman.
Australia
He was a really great racehorse and a pleasure to ride in a race as he would just go to sleep wherever he was placed and was always relaxed no matter what the pace of the race was. I won three Group 1s on him including the Epsom Derby. I saw some of his foals the other day and was delighted to see their strength and scope.
Camelot
I won four Group 1s on him – the Racing Post Trophy, the 2,000 Guineas and the English and Irish Derby. He wasn't the easiest to ride in a race as he would always have the tendency to do too much and you had to concentrate all the time on just keeping him relaxed and switched off. He was very classy and would take you into a race very easily.
