'He looks your Derby winner to me' - our panel can't see past Bolshoi Ballet
Jockeys Declan McDonogh, Rob Hornby and Kieran Shoemark answer the questions
Which miler do you most want to see clash with Palace Pier later this season?
George Boughey, trainer Lady Bowthorpe seems to have taken her form to another level this year for William Jarvis and she put up a superb performance to get closer to Palace Pier than anything else in the Lockinge. The form of her Dahlia Stakes win was boosted by Queen Power at York and I’d love to see the team have another go.
Pat Cooney, bet365 I doubt if any horse will get near Palace Pier over a mile, but Order Of Australia, who did really well to win the Breeders’ Cup Mile from the widest stall last season, may be his main rival at that distance. If Palace Pier steps up in trip the Eclipse and Juddmonte International would be all the more interesting.
Rob Hornby, jockey It’s very hard to see anything beating him because he looks an absolute monster. The way Frankie Dettori had the luxury of glancing around in such a competitive Group 1 was impressive. I loved the run of Lady Bowthorpe in second – she’s tough, and as a mare she will be helped by getting an allowance in the top races.
