Havana Go looks set to be a hero for Marnane
Havana Go
Trainer: David Marnane
4th, 7f two-year-old median auction maiden, Leopardstown, July 20
This maiden was one of a couple of small field but well-contested maidens on the night and a good few winners look as though they might emerge from it.
This Havana Gold colt was settled off the pace towards the back of the field, showed his inexperience and took time to pick up, but the best of him was seen in the last furlong as he ran on to good effect to be beaten just over three lengths behind a highly regarded winner and a runner-up that may prove to be decent.
He is out of a dam with a mixture of speed and middle distance in her pedigree who won over just short of a mile and a quarter and he looks certain to improve over whatever trip he tries next.

4th, 7f two-year-old fillies' auction maiden, Gowran Park, July 22
The McCreery yard was doubly represented in this contest, principally by the winner Outside Inside who won from a bad draw, but her stablemate was possibly one of the biggest eyecatchers of the week.
