Gareth Topham has high hopes for Ribble Valley in his Tote Ten To Follow
The commentator expects Nicky Richards' hurdler to fly the flag for the north
When I called the Charlie Hall Chase last month I was mightily impressed with Cyrname. He proved that day that he's a more mature horse, can go either way round and is a superb jumper.
Another staying chaser worth following is . He does not make life easy for himself but does have incredible raw ability. If he polishes up his jumping he is a serious Gold Cup contender.

remains unbeaten and is a mare I have always liked. She's incredibly versatile as well as talented. Also unbeaten is Envoi Allen, who is already a dual Cheltenham Festival winner and looks a hugely exciting prospect following his Down Royal victory.
first caught my eye with a polished display at Wexford last season. She kept improving and surprising, which culminated with a win in the Arkle. I can see her doing well in mares' races or even a Champion Chase.
Being on the northern circuit, I have to include , who looked more of the finished article at Carlisle and is held in high regard by Nicky Richards. He could fly the flag for the north in top two-mile hurdles.
produced an outstanding performance at the Showcase meeting. He has the potential to rank high in the two-mile chase division. I was also impressed with in both his wins at Wetherby. His jumping is a joy to watch and, although he stays three miles, he is not short of speed.
Shishkinlooks a high-quality horse and I can't wait to see him over fences. If that does not go to plan he could easily become a Champion Hurdle horse.
Finally, Thyme Hill was so unlucky at the Cheltenham Festival. He clearly stays well and I think he could become a Stayers' Hurdle candidate.
