It was a domestic season high on drama and full of plot twists that kept racing fans purring right up to Punchestown.

There may not have been strong British representation at the meeting, but that’s more of a reflection of the landscape of the jumps game in general rather than the festival itself, as Irish-trained horses dominated much of the calender's key races.

From mind boggling training feats, superstar horses and gifted riders, the jumps season just gone had it all.
