1 Mark Johnston

Mark Johnston was Britain's top record-breaker for the second consecutive year in 2019, as he now holds the seasonal as well as the career record for the most wins in Britain by a trainer.

Johnston scored his 244th domestic Flat victory of the year with Dark Regard at Southwell on November 18, beating the overall British record (Flat or jumps) for the most wins by a trainer in a season – 243 by Martin Pipe over jumps in 1999-2000. His biggest contributor was King's Advice, who landed eight handicaps.
