Focus search for festival novice chase winners on classy autumn code-switchers

Autumn is a time of anticipation for jump racing fans when many smart hurdlers are sent chasing, and the puzzle of predicting the direction the careers of code-switchers will take is one that captivates us.

By and large, when a hurdler goes chasing the level they reached in their former code is often revealing as to their prospects over fences.

The first part of the table (above) pertains to horses who were sent chasing having posted a hurdles RPR of 140-plus. These runners are bracketed based on their best hurdles RPRs, and for each group you can see an average of the best chase RPRs the runners achieved (up to their ninth chase start).
