Richard Hoiles on tricky names to pronounce: Duckey Fuzz always filled me with trepidation. When I was younger Duckey Fuzz was a game played in a circle. You had to say Duckey Fuzz or Fuzzy Duck until someone slipped up. Then they had to drink a pint of beer.
When you have a tricky name you hope the horse runs badly and you don’t have to mention it much. Winker Watson was horrible, because he was a good horse. When he ran at Royal Ascot I was petrified because the Queen was there.
