Justin Landy is hoping to land an unusual double on Saturday, with victories in the Qipco 2,000 Guineas and Hexham’s Heart of All England 'Grassroots' Maiden Hunters’ Chase (7.35).

He trains Ballinahow Bill and a small string of pointers whose win ratio since he joined the sport in January 2015 make Landy an intriguing subject, and one which followers of racing under rules should note, as he could soon be plying his trade in their patch. He has now saddled 39 point-to-point runners and won 28 races at 71 per cent, while his hunter chase figures are nine runners, five winners.
