There’s a hint of self-assurance in Danny Tudhope’s voice as he reflects on his whirlwind start to Royal Ascot last week. The jockey rode three winners across Tuesday and Wednesday, highlighted by the victory of Lord Glitters in the curtain-raiser, the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes.

“Those two days were great, obviously, but looking at the book of rides I had, it wasn’t that much of a surprise,” Tudhope maintains.

"Lord Glitters' form in Dubai was good enough to win, Addeybb was practically a penalty kick because he had his ground, and Move Swiftly was well backed on the day so they thought she would run well.”
