Will the 2019 Stobart apprentice championship really be a match between two fresh faces, as bookmakers and punters initially seem to think?

That is the question as punters have seized on a famous name and a new arrival in Britain with experience belying his years.

Cieren Fallon – son of Kieren, the six-time champion jockey – and Sean Davis, recently arrived from Ger Lyons' yard in Ireland at Richard Fahey's powerful Yorkshire stables, are vying for favouritism with bookmakers unable to agree on it.
