Peter Scudamore selects the horses who have meant the most to him
Eight-time champion jump jockey Peter Scudamore, 58, is the most well-known face in a celebrated jumps dynasty also featuring his late father Michael and sons Tom (jockey) and Michael (trainer). Known universally as 'Scu', he partnered a total of 1,692 winners during his riding career, chiefly as one half of a formidable partnership with record-breaking trainer Martin Pipe. Having retired from the saddle in April 1993, he became a fixture of the BBC racing team and is now integral to the Kinross-based training operation of his partner Lucinda Russell.
