Dual Grand National-winning rider Leighton Aspell on the victory of Win My Wings

They came from all corners to contest the Scottish Grand National with England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales represented in this great stamina test that always gets big fields and has provided us with some memorable victories and performances over the years.

How refreshing to see a clean start considering the field size and the competitive nature of 23 horses and jockeys.

They were taken along by the experienced Richie McLernon on Chirico Vallis and they were in good hands here. For all that we know Richie better as an excellent hold-up jockey, he is very capable from the front and knows exactly how fast he should or shouldn't be going, especially in a four-mile contest.
