Broghie could be the man for Duke after eyecatching debut
Stellar Eclipse
Trainer: Dermot Weld
4th, 7f 2yo maiden, Gowran Park, July 4
Despite the lack of form of Dermot Weld's string, it is still customary at this time of year to take more than a passing glance when he has runners in a race such as this with Galway in mind, and it is highly possible that this gelding will be heading in that direction after a promising debut effort in this contest.
Held up just off the pace initially, he was beginning to make some progress when his momentum was somewhat halted in the straight and he had to be switched to find some daylight over a furlong out, but inside the last furlong he ran on encouragingly. He should improve a good deal for this effort and there is a similar maiden on the Friday at Galway that should be right up his street.

Jessica Harrington
5th, 1m 2yo maiden, Bellewstown, July 7
A newcomer by Big Bad Bob out of a Barathea mare from a good middle-distance family, she showed plenty on her debut at this idiosyncratic venue that doesn't suit every horse.
She pretty much blew her chance with a slow start and could never really make a competitive impression, but from the top of the hill on the outside of the field she made sustained progress under little more than hands and heels to be beaten four and a half lengths at the finish.
