Covid has not meant the end of betting shops
The Covid-19 pandemic was expected to accelerate the shift to online from betting shops but reports of the imminent demise of retail gambling look premature.
Entain reported betting shop revenues in the fourth quarter of 2021 were within five per cent of pre-Covid levels.
