Art Nouvelle will be hard to brush off this season
Greenpanda
Trainer: Gavin Cromwell
7th, 1m two-year-old auction maiden, Bellewstown, August 24
Gavin Cromwell does not have many juveniles but he has done well with the ammunition he has. The similarly named Pandagreen landed a Leopardstown maiden in June, and this daughter of Jeremy looks as though she should also be well able to win a race.
She lost all chance here by being slowly away from a bad draw and never got into the race. She also took a bit of time to get into her stride, but from over a furlong out she really began to pick up and finished respectably in mid-division. She needs one more run to go for a nursery and that may be the sort of race she will be seen in the best light. She has ability, stays well, and should not be inconvenienced by some ease in the ground.
