8-1 looks solid value about this Cheltenham contender before Haydock prep run

Most horses have had their last run before the Cheltenham Festival by now, but there are still a few candidates appearing this weekend who could be of interest next month.

A decent starting point for the next two days looks the Grade 3 Red Mills Trial Hurdle (2.20) at Gowran on Saturday. Teahupoo eventually got on top of Quilixios with a late surge at Limerick over Christmas, but, with a slight change of tactics, that result may be reversed.

A victory here for last year's Triumph Hurdle winner could be further evidence of Henry de Bromhead's string turning a corner after a quiet spell.
