Eziyra heading to Churchill Downs for Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Turf

Multiple Group-race winner Eziyra, who finished third in last year's Irish Oaks and in this season's Yorkshire Oaks, will bow out for the year at the Breeders' Cup meeting at Churchill Downs on November 3.

Her trainer Dermot Weld said: "We had thought about running Eziyra in the EP Taylor Stakes at Woodbine this coming weekend but we decided there would be too much travelling involved sending her to Canada and then going to the Breeders' Cup.

"We like to space out her races, and the Grade 1 Maker's Mark Filly & Mare Turf on Breeders' Cup Saturday is the plan."
